Rhode Island Death Records

South Dakota death records can be obtained from the Department of Health. Certified copies of the records will be provided to authorized individuals. You can also place an order by visiting a website which can retrieve it from an online database on a fee basis.

Eligibility to Order South Dakota Death Records

Death records may only be ordered by the following people:

  • Deceased’s Spouse
  • Child of the Deceased

Fee to Order South Dakota Death Records

The fee to order a certified death record is $15.00 each.

Order SD Death Records in Person

Counter service is offered by the Register of Deeds Office in the county where the death took place. You will need to fill out a form, pay the fee, and show your ID before a search for the record will be conducted.
