Nevada death records are held by the state Department of Health and Human Services. It has records dating from July 1, 1911 to the present. Records dating prior to that date are available from the County Registrar’s Office in the county where the death occurred. The state does not accept orders for vital records directly. Instead, it has arranged with an independent company to process payments made by consumers.
