Information Required to Order Delaware Death Records

When placing an order for a vital statistics record in DE, you will need to provide the following information:

  • Full name of deceased
  • Gender
  • Date of death
  • Place of death
  • Name of mother (last name at birth)
  • Name of father (last name at birth)

ID Required to Order DE Death Records

Orders for DE death records must be accompanied by valid photo ID. A driver’s license, state ID or work ID may be used for this purpose.


Fee to Order Delaware Death Records

The cost to order a DE death certificate is $25.00 each. A portion of each fee collected is donated to the distressed cemetery fund. If no record is found, the amount paid is retained as a search fee.
